my friend told me that when i look at her, i actually ‘look’ at her. It’s because i actually see who she is and all that she is. and i am amazed each time. I can feel my breath slow down to the pace of my heart beating and i forget all the bad going on in my life. It’s funny how i’ve always been in control of everything but when you’re in my presence i forget how to talk and walk. I stumble on my own words and just stand there awkwardly. I tell myself to get it together over and over again but each time my efforts are thwarted when you step through that door.
